Best way to visit Kinnaur and Spiti Valley is by road. You can book a flight ticket to Shimla Airport (Jubber hatti) but from Shimla you have to hire a taxi and the real fun begins. From Shimla you will be covering Kufri -> Theog -> Narkanda -> Rampur -> Jeori -> Sarahan -> Sangla -> Reckongpeo / Kalpa -> Nako -> Tabo -> Kaza and then Chandertal. The real fun starts from Shimla when you enter the twists and turns of the mountainous roads of Himachal Pradesh.

The headquarters of Kinnaur valley i.e. Reckongpeo is 570 KM from Delhi and from Chandigarh its 320 KM. After this if you are going to Spiti Valley then its 200 KM more from Reckongpeo to Kaza. If you are taking a round trip to Spiti Valley from Chandigarh -> Shimla -> Kinnaur -> Kaza -> Manali -> Chandigarh then its approximately 1,022 KM long trip which can be covered in 9 Nights and 10 Days.
